BE:FIRST’s RYOKI: “I think viewers will be pleased” – Anticipates Long-Awaited Sibling Co-Performance with Host Sairi Ito
The rehearsal for the “75th NHK Kohaku Uta Gassen (Red and White Song Battle)” aired on New Year’s Eve was held on December 29th at the NHK Hall in Shibuya, Tokyo, where BE:FIRST responded to the media’s inquiries.
In the main show, they will perform “Masterplan”, which was released in April, and at the opening, they will present a first-time dance collaboration with TOMORROW X TOGETHER.
In March, they successfully held their first dome concert. It was a shining year, with RYOKI playing the role of the main character’s younger brother in the continuous TV drama “Tora ni Tsubasa”, among other individual activities. Sairi Ito, who played the leading role in the same work, will appear as the host at the venue, attracting attention to the long-awaited “sibling co-performance”.
RYOKI recalled, “I talked with her during the filming that ‘you might be appearing in something on Kohaku Uta Gassen, aren’t you?’ and she said, ‘No, I’ll be watching TV at home at the end of the year'”. However, when it was decided that she would be the host, he was surprised and said with a wry smile, “Not just a judge, but a host!” He added, “But it’s very moving, and it’s a good way to wrap up the end. I think the viewers will be pleased with the moment when the family-oriented ‘Tora ni Tsubasa’ returns and the ‘sibling co-performance'”.
About Sairi Ito, RYOKI said, “I haven’t been able to meet her yet,” but revealed, “We keep in touch regularly, and we talked a little bit at that time.”
