On November 8th, the final performance of "Endless SHOCK," starring Koichi Domoto of KinKi Kids, commenced at the Imperial Theatre in Tokyo. Before the performance began, a public rehearsal was held. In the opening remarks, Domoto stated, "The 'Endless SHOCK' that began in 2000 is finally having its last performance at the Imperial Theatre," thus marking the start of the "final" run.
Since its first performance in November 2000, this popular musical has been performed annually. After announcing an unexpected end in January, approximately 10 months ago, this year the show will have its longest run in history, spanning five months. Performances were held at the Imperial Theatre in April and May, with the show reaching a milestone on May 9th, achieving 2,018 solo lead performances without an understudy, the highest record in domestic theater. Additionally, performances were held in Osaka in July and August, and in Fukuoka in September. Reflecting on this, Domoto said, "During the regional performances, I couldn't fully grasp the fact that it was the last run. In a way, that was good."
