Snow Man to Sing Theme Song for the Movie “Trillion Game” Starring Ren Meguro (Directed by Yoshiaki Murao, Set for Release on February 14 Next Year in Japan)
Snow Man will be in charge of the theme song for the movie “Trillion Game,” starring Ren Meguro, directed by Yoshiaki Murao, and scheduled for release on February 14 next year. The new song “SBY,” written specifically for this movie, has been described by Meguro as, “A song that evokes both the stillness of dawn and dusk, making you feel both beginnings and endings.”

“Trillion Game” is based on a manga of the same name and is a sequel to the television drama that aired on TBS in July last year. In the drama, Meguro played Haru, a naturally charismatic man who, along with his middle school classmate Gaku (played by Hayato Sano), started a business. They achieved success through unorthodox methods and even acquired a large corporation. The movie adaptation sees them facing even greater challenges in the development of Japan’s first casino resort.
This will be the seventh time Snow Man is responsible for a movie theme song. It’s also their first time continuing from a television drama to handle the theme song for its movie adaptation.
While the theme song for the drama, “Dangerholic,” was an addictive, upbeat tune, the new song “SBY” is a touching medium ballad. “SBY” stands for “Stand By You,” and it conveys the friendship between Haru and Gaku. Meguro expressed, “The lyrics carry the sentiment of ‘because you were there for me’ and a strong will to move forward together. With its grand scale sound, I hope it leaves listeners feeling positive.”
“Dangerholic” was announced by Billboard Japan in March to have achieved million sales. The group’s momentum shows no signs of slowing down as they are set to hold their first five-major-dome tour. While the release of the new song is yet to be decided, if it does happen, it seems likely that “Trillion Game” will once again see million sales.
