Taisuke Fujigaya Shines in New DMM TV Drama “Kanako’s Life as an Assassin” – A Must-Watch Action Comedy with Actress Non
Taisuke Fujigaya from Kis-My-Ft2 attended the announcement event for a new drama by the Japanese video streaming service DMM TV in Tokyo on October 2.
Fujigaya appears in the DMM TV drama “Kanako’s Life as an Assassin,” starring actress Non. The drama is based on the manga by Toshiya Wakabayashi and is an action comedy that depicts the story of a protagonist who transitions from a company with terrible working conditions to become a top-notch “assassin” at a good standing corporation. Fujigaya plays the role of the protagonist’s partner. He encouraged viewers by saying, “There are funny scenes as well as thrilling action scenes that will make you feel a range of emotions. It also includes a message to society, so I hope you will watch it.”
Reflecting on when he read the script, Fujigaya said, “I laughed out loud.” Adding, “I have no personal experience with black comedy, and since there are almost no lines, I thought it would be challenging, but it was fun.”
The drama includes action scenes, and Non expressed her surprise at Fujigaya’s performance, saying, “During action practice, I thought, ‘I’m doing pretty well!’ But when I saw Fujigaya’s video, I was like, ‘He’s doing that?!'” Fujigaya shared his thoughts, stating, “We both had little experience with action, but thanks to the support of the action team, I think we achieved some really great action scenes.”
