The movie is based on a novel by Mizuki Tsujimura. It depicts a man’s “once-in-a-lifetime choice” as he searches for his missing fiancée and confronts her past and lies.

Fujigaya has long declared the original novel to be his favorite in his life. Reflecting on his role being confirmed, he said, “I was truly happy from the bottom of my heart.” Filming took place around last autumn. He mentioned, “We created it while discussing with the director, Kentaro Hagiwara, and Nao, ensuring to preserve the goodness of the original work and definitely include the unique qualities of the film.”

In line with the work, Fujigaya revealed that he purchased a wristwatch worn in the film as his “once-in-a-lifetime choice,” explaining, “It’s the moment when dreams come true, and because it’s an incredibly important work for me, I bought something from that moment.” He disclosed that he was wearing it even on that day, adding, “It feels like a charm.”
