GENERATIONS Begin First Tour as Six-Member Group with Special Guests! Alan Shirahama Thanks Supporters During Tough Times
On October 15, GENERATIONS performed their Tokyo concert at the Yoyogi 1st National Gymnasium in Tokyo, as part of their nationwide arena tour covering seven cities.
The venue erupted in cheers during the encore when Noritake Kinashi, who is one of the most famous comedians in Japan, made a surprise appearance, shouting, “The old man is here!” while the members danced to “Y.M.C.A.” This surprise appearance was made possible due to Kinashi’s role as the MC on an LDH-hosted audition program (LDH is the agency that manages GENERATIONS). Kinashi, who said, “I came here thinking I’d pass the LDH audition!” was in high spirits throughout, and even performed a song with the members.
This tour marked the first for GENERATIONS as a six-member group, following the recent departure of one of their members. Having already performed in five cities, the group was supported by various artists, comedians, and even members of Japan’s men’s gymnastics team for the Paris Olympics, all coming together to celebrate this new chapter. Leader Alan Shirahama expressed his gratitude, stating, “We are filled with gratitude for the support we received during our challenging times.”
Hayato Komori confidently added, “The warm cheers from our fans reassure us that what we have done is not in vain.” As they face this significant turning point, the six members continue to captivate their fans with their evolved, new persona.
